Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Meckly Pty Ltd trading as BigShoow ("BigShoow", "we") handles personal information. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988.

1. Who this covers

People who visit bigshoow.com or ask us to contact them, and the hosts (and their staff) who use BigShoow. Guests who buy from a host's site are covered by that host's own privacy policy, linked at the bottom of every host site.

2. What we collect

Details you give us: name, email, mobile, business name and details about your events.
Account details: the emails of people who sign in to a host admin, and a record of sign-ins.
Billing details: your plan and payment status. Card details go straight to Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
Technical details: IP address and browser type, used for security, rate limits and error logs.

3. Why we use it

To reply when you ask us to call you, to set up and run your site, to bill you, to keep BigShoow secure, and to tell you about important changes. We only send you marketing if you asked us to contact you, and every marketing email has a way to opt out.

4. Guest data we hold for hosts

When guests buy from a host's site, we store their details on the host's behalf so the host can run their event. We do not use guest details for our own purposes, sell them or share them with other hosts.

5. Who we share it with

Only the service providers we need to run BigShoow: Cloudflare (hosting, database and security), Stripe (payments and billing) and Resend (sending emails). Some of them store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States. We choose providers with strong security. We do not sell personal information.

6. Cookies and analytics

Host admins use one sign-in cookie. Public sites do not use tracking or advertising cookies. We count visits without cookies, using a daily code that cannot be linked back to you. A shopping bag is kept in your own browser only.

7. Keeping it safe

Information is encrypted in transit, access is limited to people who need it, and every host's data is kept separate. Security logs are kept for a limited time and visit codes are deleted after 90 days.

8. Access, correction and complaints

You can ask to see or correct the information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Email us using the details below. If you are unhappy with how we handled a privacy matter, tell us first and we will respond within 30 days. You can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
